To protect boat surfaces, the Galvanized steel anchor lead chain is PVC-coated. Featuring oversized links on both ends for easy shackle attachment, it is compatible with most shackle/rode combinations. The use of an anchor lead chain improves the anchor's holding power by ensuring that the shank remains parallel to the anchoring surface. This helps prevent unwanted pull-out or anchor freeing that can be caused by wave motion or boat drifting. Additionally, the chain minimizes abrasion between the anchor and anchor line.

It is important to note that this chain is not suitable for overhead lifting applications. The 5/16" x 5' PVC-coated steel anchor lead chain has a Working Load Limit of 2,000 lbs. and a Breaking Strength of 8,000 lbs. Its dual enlarged end links provide added durability.

This chain is galvanized for protection and then vinyl dipped to safeguard boat surfaces. Its design enhances anchor holding power and reduces wear and tear on the anchor line.
